I will no longer be updating Iron Guide (see below). Instead, I am now writing at my new, personal blog. Though that will be about some of the newer things I'm doing in life, if you want to see updates about Louie, Lester, and now Dusky, add me on Facebook -- there's enough ridiculously cute pictures to go around.

Dog's noses are fascinating.

Sadie has always had a light colored nose. I'm guessing that Lester has snow nose and it will change dark when the sun comes out again (then again, we do live in Seattle so that may never happen).

Here's a bit of internet wisdom.

Interesting! I thought it was actually just a yellow Lab thing and, as they became older, their noses all became lighter. It definitely didn't happen with Louie, and minus the colder temperatures this year (go global warming!), it's basically all the same.

Apparently, "snow nose" doesn't necessarily have much to do with snow in Labs.

This is really interesting .. Nettie's nose started to change color right before she left, too.
